and not the e-ring? I don't want to risk losing the e-ring or having it robbed and not really into wearing a fake...

i think its not only not weird but probably smart. hate to have anything happen to your rock while on vacation. i'd leave it home. :)

That's a very good idea!!! My friend's husband lost his band on their honeymoon!!! It fell off into the ocean or something like that!!! So definitely err on the side of caution with that!!!!
