I didn't have to see one...my venue was
great about the timing (parties were one hour
apart) but ironically the bride in the downstairs room was my dad's coworker's daughter, so we did go say hello to each other. :) Her maiden name was also my NEW name, so that was 2 funny things. But, no, it would not have bothered me either way.

I think the poster meant just running into
one--crossing paths--in general.

It would only because I'd feel like the staff could get some things mixed up between the two receptions and seeing her would just make me more anxious.

Ohhhhh, ok. I'm a little slow these days between the heat and getting things together for my wedding next weekend.

My answer would be no. I actually think I would feel excited and want to give her a hug and wish her luck !

Awesome! It's fun...you both just feel so special. Unless she's some diva who flips you off or something LOL it would be fun.

That's how I feel!


That's how I felt as well...and my day was no less perfect because there was another event going on.

Yes it would bother me. Thank goodness I am the only bride getting married that day

I want to be the only bride in the place on my big day...that is one of the big reasons why I chose a reception hall with one wedding at a time.

I don't think it would bother me. I think halls that have more than one wedding at a time try to make sure that the brides don't see each other.

I have no problems if another bride is visible. I'm sure that I'll be so distracted, that I wouldn't even notice.

Ditto. I'm a twin and had to share everything with my brother, graduation, birthday, etc so I wanted to be the ONLY bride (in the world preferably) at my venue. I do have another less self-fish reason. DH has some very serious food allergies and I would be concerned that if they were cooking for someone else's party the risk of them accidentally killing him also made me very nervous.

Seriously, I don't think I would care...my hall is one wedding at a time, so it probably wouldn't happen, only if we arrived before the day wedding let out.

Honestly it wouldn't bother at all - but maybe thats just me - i'm an identical twin so after sharing a face/room/birthday etc sharing a wedding date doesnt bother me at all - my wedding will still be phenomenal/exciting/memorable/incredible and everything else!! it will be the day i marry the love of my life!! I think it might be fun to see another bride and see what kind of wedding she planned and her dress etc!!

I don't think it would bother me at all. What did bother me is a wedding we went to about two years ago, several wedding parties walked through our CH to take pics at a gazebo. If I was the couple I would be annoyed, but not at just seeing another bride.
