Would like to get married in a church, however i am not a member of one? Any suggestions?
We are planning on getting married in November and i would love to get married in a church bt neither of us are members of one. I've heard people pay to marry at a church. Are there any on Long Island that i can do that and how much would it be?

Are you baptised in any relgion?
Are you looking for a building that looks like a church, or would you like to get married in the church of a specific denomination?

I was baptized in a baptist church but he was never baptized. We don't want to do any pre-cana or anything like that.
If it looks like a church that would be good too.

There are churches that will marry you if you are not a member. We are getting married in FH's grandparents cathoilc church. Neither of us are affliated with that church.
I am lutheran FH is catholic
It is costing us about $650 to get married there & they require we do precana
Start by calling some churches & see what their requirements are.
Good LUCK

I can't help you with Baptist churches at all, but you can look intoHistorical Chapel which is a cute old space that looks like a church or it once was a church I'm sure, but now they just rent it out. It's perfect for a wedding, but it only holds up to I think 125 though.
CW Post's Interfaith Center is BEAUTIFUL, and holds a larger crowd. We were planning to have our ceremony there before we decided to have it at my church. They do all kinds of religious services there, so it can be adapted for any kind of relgious service.

I was looking at it back in 2005, so I don't remember and it's likely to have changed. Sorry!

Not sure where you're looking to get married but our Roman Catholic Church is pretty liberal. I wasn't baptized or anything and they are allowing us to marry. We don't have to do precana either because i'm not Catholic. It is St. Mel's RC in Flushing.

i went to see the Historical Chapel, there is no way 125 people could fit in there comfortably. It is VERY VERY small, with a very short aisle.
