My favorite restaurant is Sergios in Massapequa and before I made plans for anything, I always knew our rehearsal dinner was going to be there. I was talking to my mom last night and I asked her if she could inquire about how much they charge per head so I can pass along the info to my FMIL. She said maybe I should consider having both my RD and my shower there and maybe they would give us a discount for having both functions there. Im all for it because again, I love their food. But would that seem akward to those invited to both parties?

if you know they will do a good job, then go for it. How about having the shower at someones' house or a VFW and having Sergio's CATER it...you get the same food, but different location??

I don't think so at all. I would just pick different options for each. Our friend's FW had her shower at the same place they're having their wedding reception.

We are using both the same place for the shower and rehersal dinner. Besides, now people will know where it is the second time around!

I don't think that is wierd at all!!!! besides, the only people that would be at both would be your parents and siblings, FH's parents and your bridal party right? At your Bridal Shower, you would have other guests as well. Besides, if it saves your family money, hey why not?
