I just found out that one of my friends is wearing a really revealing dress to my wedding...think J Lo at the 2000 Grammy awards when she wore that green Versace dress....so would you be annoyed by this? I just don't understand why someone would do that at a wedding?

It wouldn't really bother me, she is the one who will have everybody talking about her.

That is a good question. I think it would depend on who it is... I dont think I'll have this problem, but I would be a little unflattered by the whole matter.
if she is usual an attention grabber and likes to do it on purpose then i might be upset. since the night is suppose to be mine not hers.

Re: Would this bother you?
my BM also my FSIL was in my wedding and since she didnt like the dress i was told she was gonna change....it got me mad but then i was wondering what the dress looked like! OMG...black spandex, halter w the lowest back I have ever seen. It barely would cover her butt and had a slit up her hips! I flipped over this! She ended up not changing but ever since then Im not on her good list anymore! LOL
I walk into my wedding and I see this person from the back in a red dress.....so tight! beads and stuff all over. It was horrible! I was saying who in gods name....she turns and it ends up being Alexs aunt mind you shes in her 60s!! I swear this dress came rigt outta G&G or something it looked so cheap and this women who is as old as sin had it on! I gotta find pics!!!

I personally wouldn't be angry because no matter what, we're the brides and it's our day and if you let things like that get to you, you might not enjoy every minute of the day like you should. My aunt however, is being very particular about what the guests are wearing...making sure to put word out about revealing clothing and such. So you're not alone. But don't let it get to you too much! It's a small part of a huge day for you!
BUT - if it really does bother you, can you put the word out via family that the dress is borderline inappropriate?

Re: Would this bother you?
I agree that weddings are not the place to be 'sexy' thought my friend's girlfriend (who I do NOT get along with) tried that card at my wedding! People were making fun of her teal/electric blue halter dress and fried beached hair all night - classless!

I kind of agree with this...
I think, in my mind, it would 'irk' me a little but then when you think about it-- if she goes to your wedding like that-- the only person it is going to reflect badly on is her. like the poster stated above- everyone will just be talking about her- in a negative way- and if she needs attention that bad- any attention is good attention i guess.
for you though- no one will think 'omg they are at so and so's wedding like this- ugh'... they won't think like that at all-- they'll just think 'yikes, she looks ridiculous'

I think this would bother me a bit, but I wouldn't let it get me.
Her tastes in clothing is not a reflection of you. In the end, people will be making fun of her and talking about her lack of taste--not yours.

Re: Would this bother you?
It would bother me....my sister in law was going to wear a very revealing dress at the rehearsal, but the rest of the family stepped in and talked her out of it. Nothing you can really do though....just don't let it bother you on your big day!
