Actually, yes it would bother me. I can't really even justify it either but I know I wouldn't like it.

yea i dont get it, this is their first sons wedding so you'd think they would wanna hang around a little and celebrate with us the day after too, we are having a brunch!

So they are going to miss the brunch?? Do you have a lot of OOT? It seems almost a little rude.

yea i dunno, have to see when they are leaving, maybe in the afternoon... i have a lot of oot guests on my side... i dunno,but i just think its a little weird

i would be really annoyed....why would you want to skip out right away? However, I don't think I would say anything..probably just hold a grudge....

It would bother me especially since you are having a brunch the next day. Is FH upset about it? If not let it go.

it would definitely NOT bother me but that's a function of the relationship i have with fmil. i'm assuming you have a good relationship with them, so i can understand how it would bother you. if they're missing the brunch, that's REALLY effed up.

ehh im veryyy close with my fil's, but i cant really see that bothering me...i actually think they're doing the same thing if not the day after our wedding, within 3 days or so after..

yea we have a good relationship and it doesnt bother me that they are going away, but the day after?? they're leaving before we even leave for our honeymoon! i'm not gonna say anything to them so whatever... weird lol

I can't say it would bother me, but I would find it a little weird. I can't imagine how they'd want to be on time constraints the day after their son's wedding. But to each his own I guess. However, missing the brunch is a whole different story...........

If they are going to miss the brunch because of their little getaway I would be p*ssed!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that is not the case...good luck and I think you are right feeling the way you do.
