Would you?

If you knew that a sibling, child or parent had commited a heinous crime (murder...i am talking heinous murder)

Would you turn them in?

geez, jenn!! some question to start the day off...however, i think i would. but there would be more that goes into it. but i don't know where my animal instinct would kick in so that i would do anything in my power to protect my family.

Re: Would you?

I Might I would be torned because i love them so much and if i found out the commited a heinous crime i properly would because if the cops know that i know they would say why didn't you turn them in and i properly would think i was helping them because i didn't say anything. but like i said i would be torn because of the love i have for them and it would turn me insideout.

I'd probably turn them in, but try to get them help...obviously they're sick and need psych counseling. Get them a good lawyer

I would have to turn them in. I could never look at them or myself the same if I didn't.

depending on the crime and why it was commited and if i thought they would do it again.

Re: Would you?

I wish I could say 'YES'...but, I don't know if I would.

I guess I would think about if it was a Ted Bundy style crime (like serial murder)

versus a bar fight that led to a one-time crime...

If it is a heinous crime - I would have to....
It would be very difficult but my answer is yes.

Re: Would you?

I'd turn them in, although I might make an 'anonymous' tip so they wouldn't know it was me right away.

Re: Would you?

I probably would eventually, I am easily physically effected by guilt, but I also can be good with the denial.
It also depends onthe circumstance-- I f I flet the is person was no longe rthe person I knew them as it would be easier, b/c I would probably be afraid they'd do it again, or tun on someone in my familyor me.

God thats a tough one. I think I would want to - but who knows if I'd have the courage. I like the anonymous tip idea - somehow I don't think I'd feel as guilty.

What sparked this question might I ask?

Ditto.

wow - crazy question!

I think it would have to depend on the situation surrounding the crime - but either way I would probably turn them in. Same as above, I don't think I'd be able to live with the fact that I was covering something like that up, regardless if it was a family member or not.

Only if I felt that they were a threat to themselves or someone else.
