heck no!!! that would have taken all the excitement out of the day... you're getting married in front of all your friends and family, but you're already married? NO WAY! Also, for me, i considered it a SAcrament, so it had to be done in church.
i have heard of people doing this for insurance reasons and such, but just for the hell of it... not for me.

We are 'domestic partners' for insurance reasons and have been for 3 years. I don't think it is the same, though. To me, we're not really married yet.

We debated it b/c FH is in the military and we could have gotten the marriage allowance. I decided against it because I felt it would take away from the day.
