move somewhere where your rent would increase $135 and it's a little smaller, but it's a nicer neighborhood, and you can have pets?
Sooo torn right now.

Re: would you
if you can afford it.
but also factor in the future costs having a pet. they can get expensive to keep healthy and happy.
i'm a dog lover so you get my full support.

Re: would you
I would, as long as I know the pet can still have room to run around and there's still enough space where DH and I can have separate time (e.g., if he needs to work on his computer, I can go to another room and watch TV).

Re: would you
depends how bad your current neighborhood is ... if you're afraid of walking from your car to your house at night, then it's def worth the $135 per month.
but if you feel safe, i'd stay in your current place. $135 isn't really much but that adds up to over $1000 in one year ... you could use that for wedding planning!
ps: i LOVE animals too so i understand your pain.

Re: would you
Yes. The decision would be made based on the fact that I could have a doggie.

Yeah, you sold me with 'you can have pets'. I'd just about pay double to be able to keep my babies.

Re: would you
The pet thing is a biggie. We both want dogs. but realistically can I even get a puppy? I'll be off in the summer to train, but I'm worried about leaving a dog home alone. I LOVE dogs and always had one growing up, so I reallllllly want one, but I feel bad too!
FH really wants the move. We don't live in a bad area now; we just like Bayside better than where we live now. Our apt is old and falling apart lately!
The only reason I am hesitant is because it's still only a 1 b/r (we live in a 1 b/r now), and we're going to have to move after the wedding - hopefully a house, but at least a 2 b/r.
I hate moving. SO part of me is like why move now, if we're going to have to move again in a year or less.
The pet thing is BIG though!

Re: would you
That's an extra $30something per week for the new place. If it was a much nicer neighborhood I def would.
