Would you?

Would you?

Invite someone who you were fairly close with for 2 years, saw a lot during the week then stopped seeing once another mutual friendship went sour? I want to make an adult decision and not be 'high school' about it. Here's a little background:

My friend (a male), myself and a former BM used to hang out after work constantly and sometimes on the weekend - we even called ourselves the happy hour crew. BM and FH had a huge fight over football - I know it's silly but obviously there were other issues.. (not sure if you remember) and BM took herself out of the wedding. Subsequently ended our friendship (her choice). Since then (last fall) I have not hung out with said friend nearly as much since he is close with ex-BM. Like super close.

I have other mutual friends who I remain in contact with that also know ex-BM but it is safe to say that the friendship with male in question is not what it used to be.

I am having doubts about inviting him to the wedding because 1) I know he's super close with ex-BM and he likes gossip 2) We've drifted apart 3) He's never really been cool with FH.

Honest opinions please.

You wrote that you don't want to be high school-ish...so why not just invite him? Let it be HIS choice to come or not. I say do it. I think you're the bigger person by inviting him.

That's why I've left him on the list; but, I also left off a number of people because we're 'not that close' or live out of town including family - I made my list early on when we started planning.

Think of it this way - imagine you invite him - how do you feel?

You don't invite him - how do you feel?

Which ever feels better go with it!

It may seem silly to do that, but it works for me lol
