I would be annoyed if I knew the person and the same people would be getting both invites.

Didn't you have them custom made?? I would think it was strange, especially if they didn't say something to you to at least compliment them and say they wanted to use them... but I think I would be annoyed if it was someone I knew and people who were invited to my wedding were going to see hers first.

they were custom made after many many hours of thinking/talking/emailing

and the girl (after i stalked her down) IS a liw bride, although she is not an avid poster..

and when she looked at them, my date is obvi. on the invite

idk i mean i dont know her so it'd be a long shot to have any of the same guests, but still im kinda like-i spent all the work on them and you get to just swoop in and change the colors, and then use them 1st

Unfortunately you don't own the rights to the invitiation or images used therein...whomever created your invitations does.

To be honest, this is not worth your time getting upset over. No one you know is going to know someone else has similar invitations.

I would not be annoyed in your same situation. Personally I got used to people biting my steez by the 9th grade. Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery. Be proud that you designed something so great that someone else wanted to use it! I do understand it can be annoying (but really not with a total stranger), but there's not much you can do about it except feel good that your invite design rocked! Don't be annoyed be flattered! It's not like it's your cousin or bff doing it.

eh id prob still be a little annoyed just cuz you wanna be different and not have the same stuff but it is flattering, but its diff if you dodnt know the person

I would be a little annoyed - I mean, you worked to perfect it and then someone saw it and copied. But I wouldn't let it bring me down - just know that you did it first and she's a follower!!!
