Would you be annoyed

Would you be annoyed

if you had this conversation with the hotel where your rooms are blocked:

Me: My guests are calling and being told that there are no rooms left. Could I please book another block?

Hotel: There are only 10 kings left.

Me: 10 Kings left in the hotel or 10 Kings left in the block?

Hotel: In the hotel.

Me: Ok, well we'd like to block those. I'm checking online, and it says that there are double rooms left at the hotel as well. (notice no mention of non-smoking...) Can we block those as well?

Hotel: There are no non-smoking doubles. I don't know where you're getting that information from.

Now, in isolation, I wouldn't be annoyed. However, EVERYTIME I call/email them, they don't understand what I'm saying and they screw something up.

yeah, that's annoying that they won't let your guests book those extra rooms.

can you add another hotel block somewhere?

I'd block somewhere else as well...
ask for whatever rooms they have left, then block somewhere else, when guests call tell them that hotel booked up really fast and you found another hotel close by.

what hotel is it? if you dont mind sharing?
