Would you be annoyed?

DH aunt sent me a message on FB asking if we got our pro pics yet. At first I thought she just wanted to see them. But then she goes on to write that during the wedding she pulled the photographer aside and had him take family portraits of her, her husband and her sons. She said she wants to use it as a holiday card so can I please hurry and get them to her? Really? So rude!

I think that is so rude and I would def. be annoyed. A similar thing happened to me on my wedding day. Everyone was trying to use my photographer for their own purposes. I am annoyed at my photographer for listening. I didn't get all the photos I wanted, so why did my aunt get a portrait and my BIL and SIL have almost as many photos taken as DH and I? And SIL wore white!! GRRR.... was he confused? I don't know. they then asked me everyday when are you getting the pictures, because they wanted this photo of them sooo bad and you know what?? they wanted to edit other people out of the photo so that it would just be them!!

here is what you do.
act nice about it, so she doesnt think its intentional. make sure that she doesn't get it in time to use as holiday cards OR... say I dont know why those photos werent in there, if you can edit it out.. cause there were things taken at my wedding that must have gotten messed up because they werent there when we looked at the proofs and make it like those never ended up in your final pictures... i would not give her that satisfaction because it is sooo rude!!

I think the photogs do it bc they figure if these people order a larger portrait then its more money for them!

That is INCREDIBLY rude!!! Just to be spiteful, I wouldn't give them to her in time for her cards.

seriously?! holy rude... i guess sometimes family thinks that they can get away with whatever the eff they want and there are no rules.

I would do what a previous poster did and just 'forget' to give them to her before the holiday season is around. And if she gives you a hard time just say listen i will be more tyhan happy to give you the number a a great photog so you can pay for your own photo shoot for holidays, as opposed to using the one I PAID for my wedding...

I would actually be furious. I paid a lot of money for my photographer (it was our biggest splurge), and my OWN pictures--not for someone else to use her as a portrait artist. I read your post to my DH and his jaw dropped.

I would be beyond upset. I would tell her that actually the photographer did not take any pics of them. Sorry.

Who do these people think they are? Those pics are for your and your DH!

I didn't even think that guests might pull this crap, thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to tell my photog not to take requests like that

That's just downright rude. She's using the photographer YOU paid for basically for a 'free ride'. If I were you I wouldn't send her the pictures out of spite.

If the photographer had just happened to take a picture of them that she thought would come out nice then I wouldn't have a problem.

But the fact that she thought to pull him aside and have him take pictures of them... makes me annoyed for you.

Don't give them to her until January.

WOW..the nerve I can't. Well my photographer was too bust taking candid shots of one of his friends, one of DH's relatives ended up knowing him, which maybe explains why we are MISSISING so many important shots or the shots are crappy. It isn't the owner of the company but his like sidekick who ended up being our photo guy day of. I was so tempted to mention something to the owner when we met with him after the wedding but just never did. Oh, I would NOT send her the pics. Use any excuse or just plain ignore her if she FB's you again about it.

Yikes- that is terrible

In no way should she get the shots in time!

If it were that important to her, she should have handed her camera to someone to snap a family shot!
