Would you be mad??

Just a quick question to see if im overreacting or not. My FI got an invite in the mail for his cousins sweet 16 , we are very close to them. His aunt adressed the envelope, To Mr blah blah, and Guest. I was kind of irritated. we dont live together so i dunno if im overreacting or not.

Re: Would you be mad??

Wouldn't be mad but terribly annoyed. Being you are engaged I see no reason why she wouldn't address you by your first name. Some people are strange. Try not to let her get to you.....

Re: Would you be mad??

I was very upset....we sent an invitation for our wedding to one of FH cousins with NO guest....well it turns out he has been living with his girlfriend for a while now....then I found out they are engaged!!! Somethimes with so much going on people just don't think clearly.....I wouldn't let it get to you, I;m sure they didn't do it to hurt you.

Re: Would you be mad??

Kimmieg I understand what your going through. My fh's family had left me off the invitiation this summer for his cousin's first birthday. I was angry for a little bit. But we are so much closer to my family than his. But I know my family would have never have done that.

Re: Would you be mad??

You are not overreacting! I went through a similar situation not too long ago with my FH's SIL. She completely left my name off the invitation. I was very upset but just said to myself, ' we are not always dealing with the brightest bulbs'

Re: Would you be mad??

I tend to agree with apples... Dont we all make mistakes?
Sometimes when ppl are stressed over party planning they tend to forget the small things.
It might have been a simple lack of forgetting.. OR maybe she THOUGHT she was addressing it right ( even though it was wrong)
I definitly wouldnt let it bug you. To many other important things going on in our lives right now to get stresed over lol
