Would you be mad if (sorry kind of long)

If your friend stopped speaking to you because you made someone else your MOH?
OK so I have known her since I was six and she has never been that great of a friend to me. She has her moments wehn she can be nice but most of the time I am the one calling her and she only starts to call me when her b-day is near because seh knows I will spend $$ On top of all that she is my son's God mother and she doesn't even call to check up on him. For my wedding I decided that I would choose a MOH who would be there for me and help me and be genuinely happy for me so I chose my other close friend. I still included her and her sister by asking them to be BM's she called me on my job phone and told me that I was full of s**t and that I only chose the other girl b/c she had $$. I explained to her that I didn't think she would be there for me and that she hasn't been that great of a friend to me or my son. Also taht the cost would be split among the BP equally so what does $$ have to do with anything. I even felt bad and offered to make her a MOH which she declined. She said she wasn't mad anymore but I haven't heard form her in 2 months! I called four times once asking her to go with me and MOH to find my gown, once for my niece's christening, and once just to say that I can't believe everything was ok since I haven't heard from her and that I miss her. She never answers the phone always let's VM pick up and then she calls back and leaves a message saying everything is all good. How can she say 'It's all good?'' not even I miss you to. And if that weren't enough her mother is getting amrried on Oct. 7th this year and me nor my family got an invite to the wedding! I have seen her mother several times since we work in the same area and she has never asked for my address or mentioned the wedding. My family looks at her like she is family even though we never had that great of a friendship and she wonders why I chose someone else? I was thinking I would wait until my birthday to see if she even calls before I totally cut her out of the wedding but should i even wait that long? My birthday is in December.

sorry but if that was me--i'd cut her out of the wedding.....plesae TRUST ME on this. when the plans start going in full swing--there is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many things that stress you out--and a BM is not one of those things you should worry about.

it's obvious that this isn't really that much of a 'friend' anymore to you, and that you are pretty much including her just cause you feel like you 'should'. do yourself a favor and finally give in to the fact that you are no longer friends like in school---and you just have to deal with it. people change and grow apart...it's okay! don't let this person ruin your plans!

I agree, since you never told her she would be your MOH she is over reacting. A real friend would not make you feel bad about your decision they should support it.

I totally agree it seems that weddings truly bring out the worst in alot of ppl. As it is, it'll probably be very stressful dealing with the everyday crap and then you'd also have to deal w/ that from your BP. Sorry but I thought your BP was supposed to be there for you and even give you a hand when you need it not make things more difficult....

Yes MJDOC12 you're right I am only including her out of obligation I shouldn't have to be stressed out about her selfishness when I ahve tons of other things that will stress me out through the course of planning. You guys are all right. I just hat ethat if it were the other way around I woul dbe happy for her and want to offer my help in whatever fashion she needed me.
