Would you be mad? LONG

Would you be mad? LONG

So I was friends with this girl I met in college as an undergrad, more like acquaintances, but still we would chat and keep in contact even after graduation(and she graduated earlier than me)

So she got engaged, and everyday I would get emails/ims about every vent, frustration, excitement she had, and I was a good listener and let her let it all out.

Anyway then I got engaged the year before her wedding. It seemed that everytime I mentioned something shed overshadow it with her wedding details, but I just figured shes excited and she was getting married soon soI couldnt blame her.

Anyways, went to her shower gave a nice gift, went to the wedding gave a nice monetary gift. Still kept in contact with her.

Then a few months after her wedding, we didnt really talk as much anymore. Maybe an email once a month, if that. Both of us had crazy schedules though and more so me, but regardless I never got a thank you card. i know people have up to a year to send them, but it was getting close and for someone who was so set on doing everything with proper ettiquette I was surprised.

so a few months back I sent her an email asking how she was, etc. mentioned the thank you. She said everything had gone out a few months after her wedding, and it prob. got lost in the mail.

You would think she'd say let me send you aonther one..NOPE!!! she said if she still had an extras she'd send the photo that she had with the thank yous, and i typed out my address just in case in the email.

Never got it!!!

I let it go. About a month ago I sent her an emailk asking her for her new address(since she moved few months back, according to one of her emails from then) so i can mail her a STD. Well never heard back.

I resent it saying did you ever receive this eamil(i was having network problems at the time), but never heard back still.

At this point should I just completely forget about it, not worth the aggravation.

Would you be angry?

Signed,

Well I would definitely forget her SO fast her head would spin but at the same time I would be very upset about it also. You have a right to be angry b/c what she did is selfish and wrong-- and it will probably bother you for a while b/c you did the right thing and got screwed. But as far as she is concerned-- if it were me-- she would be dead to me and that would be it. There are so many better people in the world to be friends with!

I'm so sorry-- some people are just like that. Everything you say they say something about themselves-- it's never a normal conversation (which my communications teacher said should be like a tennis match-- back and fourth)... but some people (You can actually sit there and count the statements that come out of their mouth that start with 'I did' or 'I have' I I I I I I LOL). So those are the people to stay clear of in friendships! Take care, try to realize that it's not your fault and she is not a good person. She is a 'me' person lol and you are better off without them in your life for sure!!!

I wouldn't boother with her anymore...she is obviously very selfish. Unfortunately for you...you gave her thoughtful gifts and got nothing in return. You don't need someone like that in your life...HER LOSS!

At this point I could care less about the gifts, it was what I wanted to give her, so I gave it. I'm just upset that now its like ok her wedding is over no one else matters.

I would me mad also but forget her you don't need friends like that in your life. Everyone always tells me I will find my real friends during the planning my wedding. My freinds have been great so far hopefully it lasts!

I would be upset too..you seem like the knid of person who tries to do the right thing. Unfortunately not everyone is the same way. She sounds like a selfish biznatch!! You've given her every benefit of the doubt, I would forget her.
