Another FMIL story. I don't understand this woman. She and her daughter don't talk and its hard for me and FH to have relationships with both when they each bad mouth the other. Well my FMIL just instant messaged me about her daughter and i got uncomfortable with talking about it with her. So I said it is hard for me and your son and we try to stay neutral and not get involved in the situation. well she wrote some choice words and got off the computer. Did i say anything offensive? My FH is away for the week and I don't know how to rectify the situation or if i even should try?

I wouldn't do anything to try to rectify the situation. You didn't do anything wrong if that is all you said to her. The woman sounds crazy, I would just let it go.

Blow her off.... Her fight with your FSIL is NOT your problem. Just let things be so you don't get any further involved!! Hope it all works out for you.

you didnt do anything wrong, she should apologize to you... she should understand that she is in the wrong trying to pull you into some argument that obviously has nothing to do with you...
