If someone rsvp'd yes to your shower and 3 hours before it started called to say she was sick and couldnt make it.
But then the next day you see her at a christening and she is perfectly fine!!!!?!?!
Yup thats what my fbil's girlfriend did to me. She gave me some excuse about how ' it comes and goes' uh huh
Anyway I think she was really pissed off b/c they were supposed to leave sunday morning for Florida for there 1 year anniversary but due to money problems he had to cancel the trip. I think she was being spiteful b/c she was pissed about not getting another free vacation.
Anyway it seems shes didnt even buy a gift so basically she never even intended on going but my sister had to pay for her plate anyway

I would be pissed. No reason for her take her frustrations out of you. Something similar happened to my sister-
She had her baby shower out here on LI. A few hours before her friend called and said she was really tired and wouldn't be able to make it. That night my sister and I had to drive into the city (mind you she was 8 months pregnant) and go to this girls bacholerette party!!!! And to make matters worse we got there on time and they decided to run a little late.....by like an hour and a half!!!!! So we just sat there at the restaraunt waiting. I told my sister we should just leave and say we were too tired.
People do crazy things, It never fails to surprise me.

Yes, I would be really annoyed and if your FH wants, and if it bothers you enough, he should say something. Otherwise, ugh, thats just the way some people are.....

First I was going to say no that I wouldn't be annoyed, but then I didn't realize that your shower was catered. Maybe she didn't know it was catered so she didn't think too much about the short cancellation?

at our e-party, 2 days before, FH's aunt called saying that FH's cousin and his cousin's girlfriend couldn't make our e-party b/c she had CRAMPS... YES, she had cramps.. i'm happy for her that she knows this TWO days in advance! ha ha... PLUS the COUSIN- DIDN'T EVEN COME... what, did HE have cramps too????
