I think that's fine. Someone actually wore an off-white shift dress to my wedding. I crack up when I look at the pictures, but it didn't really bother me that day.

I have that dress in beige and the detail is gold. I wouldn't wear it to a wedding beacause I try to stay away from anything beige, cream, etc. Beautiful dress though!
