So, I had exactly one hard copy picture of my wedding dress from the catalog. I had it hidden in the folder with all the DJ stuff since FH never goes through the bag with the wedding contracts in it, let alone taking out a given folder and flipping through it.
Two weeks ago we started living together and I had to bring all the wedding contracts to his place. Tonight was our DJ meeting. I took the bag to work so I didn't have to empty it in front of him and move the picture of the dress.
Well, you guessed it - the picture of the dress is gone!!
I don't know if FH actually was looking through the stuff and took it out and then didn't get a chance to put it back, or what. I only know that it isn't where it is supposed to be.
How worried should I be that he saw it?????
I truly don't need this!

don't stress it sweetie....3 reasons:
1) could have easily been 'any' dress..not yours...
2)i know my dress looks like a different dress on me than it does on paper worn by someone else...
3) men are so oblivious...he probably didn't even notice it!
ie.. he will still be blown away!!

Maybe it fell out during the move. I doubt he took he it out. If he happened upon it, he might not even know that's the dress. Even so, the dress will be more beautiful on you!!!! Breathe Darlene!!!!

I wouldn't be worried. Like the others said and I'm sure you know, Men are Oblivious. Plus, even if he knows what your dress looks like. It's going to look totally different on you. Your going to be the beautiful bride!!!!!!!

Also I doubt if he had seen the picture that he would take it (hence why I think it fell)
If by chance he happened to see the dress a) he won't remember and b) YOU in it, is definitely NOT the same as a picture. You'll blow him away along w/ your hair/make-up and you just being so happy.

Darlene dont worry about it. I am sure you will look 100 times better than any magazine article. A picture wont have the same effect as you will on your FH.

I wouldn't worry at all. He's not going to remember what the dress looked like from the picture, because to all guys a white dress on some model just looks the same. But on you, he'll remember it. So its good that it was just a magazine clipping and not a picture of you in the dress.

agreed. i DID show DH the picture of my dress....several times and come the end of the wedding, you know what that jerk said to me???? so you went with a different dress?
they don't pay attention to your clothes unless they are on your body and they want them elsewhere.

Cindy took the words right out of my mouth. I agree 100% that you should not worry. You are going to be a gorgeous bride and I cannot wait to see the look on Jay's face when he sees you walk down the aisle.

Darlene, I don't think Jay wants to see your dress prematurely so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!!!!! Even if he DID accidentally see it I'm sure he didn't really LOOK at it, he might've just saw it quick and as soon as he realized what it was he hid it back somewhere. I guess he didn't put it back in the right place, but when do men ever put things back where they're supposed to go???

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Maybe it just fell out while you were moving stuff - and even if he did see it, it doesn't mean anything - a dress in a picture is never the same as when it is on you, his love and his bride. No reason to stress!!

I wouldnt worry for a few reasons:
a) Jay is NOT clueless but I think he is smart enought o know that if he saw a picture of your dress, he would have put it away as fast as he realized it and he sure as heck would not ever lead on that he knows knowing that you want so much for it to be a surprise.
b) Nothing can compare a picture with the real thing. I am sure he could look at a picture for hours but to see it in real life will evoke the exact emotion you hope he feels. Knowing Jay, you have NOTHING to worry about.
