Would you believe...

I went Saturday to make a payment on our rings... FH's just came in and I was dying to see it so I went in personaly and I took one of my BM's with me.. she asked to see mine while we were there. So the jeweler pulled it out...

Would you believe she had the guts to say to me right in the store...'Wow I thought it would be bigger....' I was so embarrassed....

I love my ring FH had it made for me... i didn't want an engagement ring I didn't see the point we have been together years.... but he wanted to give me a pretty center stone so he had one made with a 1.25 princess cut center and channel set princess on the sides.TW 2.25. (it is a wider band so it looks more like a wedding ring the an engagement ring).

I mean am I being petty here but it really hurt my feelings because FH put alot of thought and time in with the jeweler to design this ring.

To top it off this came from someone who had NEVER had an engagement ring or diamond until just recently and it is one of those tiny diamond chip ones (on her 3rd marriage).

That's so unprofessional!! I can't believe someone would say that! 1.25 is not small either!!!! Mine e-ring is only 1.04 tw.. Wonder what they would say to me

Don't feel bad.. She was probably just jealous because FH put so much thought into it... And, if you like it, who care what anyone else thinks!

Try not to worry about it. It sounds like a beautiful ring and most importantly with alot of meaning, b/c FH designed himself.

your ring is beautiful (well i havent seen it but i am sure it is haha) and don't worry what anyone says...especially since fh put so much meaning into it

i just don't get why some people think you need a 3 carat ring to make it mean something seriously it is ridiculous it is just a ring it doesnt mean your FH and you love each other more if you have one or not, or if it is bigger than another persons or not

The comment was rude plain and simple - sometimes people really should use their iner voice instead. Your ring sounds beautiful and actually to me that is a pretty big diamond !! AAll that matters is that you like it - you are the one wearing it

Anyone who thinks 1.25 ct isn't big enough is off their rocker AND I don't care if it's 1/4ct...if its what you wanted and what you love, that's all that matters and as your friend, she should be happy you love it.

People never stop shocking me with their stupid comments.

I know a few people like this - one is my college roommate and she has no idea that the things she says / does are rude or offensive. It's insane how there are people like this.

You guys have made me feel MUCH better!!! I mean I am like so happy with this ring. We are not rich and have worked for everything we have. FH put in ALOT of OT to get me this ring. I did not even see it until 2 weeks ago. We had decided to pick each others rings and he had one made that is soooo me and he did it just by knowing me and what i like I didn't even give him pics of ones I liked. All i told him is I don't want an engagement ring just one nice ring. I will post picks when we bring them home (probably not til August, layaway you know)

PS I have been having BM drama from this one and in her defense she did tell me today that she just meant she thought it would be MUCH bigger. I told her i didn't care how big it was, it could of been smaller I care because it came from his heart because he put alot of time and effort into this ring for me.
