they didn't follow up with a phone call after you met with them??
i know this may sound silly, but it's actually bothering me

Not one of my vendors called me after I booked w/ them, so I guess it doesn't bother me and I feel really strongly about all the vendors I picked. I think I would call if I was a vendor, but I guess they are so busy and have so many customers, I wouldn't let it deter you. I am sure you picked a great one.

my limo guy didnt follow up with a phone call and that didnt bother me....i think it would depend on what kind of vendor it was.

i went to see a photographer on feb. 19 and have not heard from them since - i guess they figured i'd call them if i wanted to book??

My vendors didn't follow up with a call either. They all told me they wouldn't really be in contact with me until the wedding got closer to go over details. You can't really do that now. it is too far in advance.

I dont think it is a big deal. I think if you are unsure, check the boards and see if anyone has any issues.

I'd still book them, I think they try to be the opposite of the vendors that harass you, I kind of like when they don't call.

i actaully get annoyed when they call and follow up... cuz if you said 'oh thanks for calling ive decided to book with someone else.. they say oh WHO? and if you tell tehm they say WHY?' and i HATE THAT!!! so i like when they dont call to follow up.. but thats just me!

Same here. I mean they are suppose to contact you a few mths before the wedding to go over how you want things, but a call right after booking them is not necessary. However, if you tried called them multiple times after the booking and no one responds, thats a different story.

I booked w/ all mine on the spot, but even if I didnt, I dont think I would expect a call, I hate pushy vendors.

Yeah... I had one RH do that to me! They kept calling to see if I was interested, and when I answered they wanted to know where I went with and then they asked why, and then they had the nerve to ask if it was because of price too! I think that's going a little too far...
I like it better when they don't harass you...

I'm with you on this. I hate getting harrassed by different vendors. If I am interested I will call!

i actually decided that IF a vendor called me after a meeting i WOULDN'T book with them! I know that is extreme but i was being harassed by random vendors at the time ( some still call) and i didnt feel like adding to that
none of my vendors called after our meeting.

I got a follow up email about 2 weeks after the initial meeting and I was ok with it. I'll take the email over a phone call any day!!

i had a few of them say that they will wait for me to contact them and they werent going to bombard me with phone calls beggin for business..so i called the ones that im booking with back..and not the others

I think its ok. I'd still book with them.
From a business stand point, your wedding isn't priority #1 (meaning weddings that are closer in time frame take first priority).
So I wouldn't be too upset. In all honesty, they don't have to hound you because they can always find someone else to book your day...ya know?
Sounds so impersonal...but I think thats how it is sometimes...
