would you consider this a ballgown?

I love love love this gown but one thing i always knew i wanted in a gown was for it to be a ballgown.....now this gown has the ballgown pleats in the back but the front weems kind of a line to me. does anyone have any pics of ballgowns with long castillion trains like this one?

I would consider it a ballgown because of the waistline being at the natural waist. But I'm no expert
You could make it look even more like a ballgown with a hoop skirt slip underneath to give it more fullness.

Yes, I would consider that a ballgown. I think that A-lines and princess cut gowns don't extend out as much ballgowns.

my dress has boxed pleats too and i think they actually call it a 'modified ball'

I always dreamed of having a ballgown too, but I ended up falling in love with a gown that wasn't one. You have to love love love your gown, and you seem to love love love this one!

Hey, look I always dreamed I'd fall in love with a guy who had blue eyes, and instead I fell for one with green. You can't choose what/who you love!

i wouldn't but i'm no expert--IMO a ballgown is huge on the bottom with lots of toole-but i am probably totally wrong--that is just the only type i've seen! if you love it--get it! who cares what style it is?! i don't even think I know what mine is! LOL

I don't think this gown is a ballgown. I think it is more 'princess' style, or a puffy A line. JMO
