I don't know if i am posting this in the right place, but I was just curious. I wanted to gain some helpful tips maybe from past brides. Now that the wedding is over, would you have done anything differently?
Would you change anything? Is there any advice you could give to the B2B's?
Thank you! :)

I don't think I would have done anything differently. I loved everything about our day, it was really perfect!!.
As far as advice goes---Don't let anything bother you on that day. If someone doesn't show for the reception, don't get upset. The things that will go wrong, and believe me they do happen, will not be major things and finally being married should out weigh any little problems. Also don't forget to stop every once in a while and take everything in. My sister was assigned this task, and every once in a while she came up to me and said 'just look around, look at what people are doing. I think it really worked. I think I remember a good amount of what went on at our reception. We will see when we finally get our video!!

I dont think I would do very much different. Maybe spend some more time on DIY and making it more personal for us.
Otherwise-the day of nothing will both you, everything that happens you will literally chuckle at-I had plenty of things happen the morning of that should not have happened-thought my car was stolen, late getting home for the MU artist by abotu 1 1/2 hours, limo that showed up wasnt the one I booked, short one Bok-but I knew it would get fixed and laughed.
You will spend so much time trying to make things perfect that when something goes wrong you will almost at it.
Take it all in-because the day will FLY BY and before you know it-its all over

Wow, that is crazy!
I am usually very laid back, if something goes wrong i really wont worry too much. I have been laid back through out this whole process, everything is booked, my dress is bought, bridesmaids dresses are bought. All i have to do now is wait to pay everyone and the wedding isnt until December. I just want to make sure im not being too laid back , and forgetting things. lol
Thank you for the advice!

I don't know if I would change anything in terms of vendors or how things were done but I would definitely have changed my attitude towards taking pictures. I got extremely impatient and annoyed with the disorganization (we both have HUGE families that are rather difficult to manage) that I got very few pictures with either family and now we are extremely disappointed with that.
That's the only thing I would do differently.

I wouldn't change a thing about my day...but now that i look back i wish i didn't get so stressed and angry about stupid stuff during planning...because now i laugh and think...what was the big deal???? I also would've gotten all my DIYs done earlier...instead of doing crap at 1am the nite before...haha.
Just try to enjoy...and make it about you & your FH!!! There will always be people with something to say...but as long as you two are happy that is all that matters!

Re: Would you do anything different?
I would change a lot, but I changed my wedding also....I had planned a fall wedding in October, but IN MArch of last year I decided to h*ll with everything I wanted to get married June 1 on Mackinac Island. I would have picked a different florist...I HATED my flowers, and I would have gotten a different dress. Mine was beautiful, but not the best for an informal island wedding. I don't regret anything but given the chance to do it over I would. I thought flowers were #1 and they were so that was a huge upset and I though pictures were not a huge deal but they were! My brother took all of our pictures and they are amazing. I will forever be grateful. My advise...... Be clear about the flowers you want. If you can see a sample DO IT and do not feel bad about saying you don't like it. I wish we had lived closer. Many wedding dresses are beautiful, but make sure it's the ONE! You'll know! If the dress isn't that important then it's not that big of a stressor. I wish I had done invitations. It was 35 immediate family/friends for a weekend wedding so we didn't'[t do them. I wish I would have. I wish I had planned the day/night before better. Again it was a weekend wedding so this may not apply. I would also have been more relaxed the day of and I would have seen Joe. I know tradition, but I was a mess and a b*tch until I saw Joe! It was horrible and what was worse is that I ruined my wedding morning by being stress/nervous and crabby when I didn't have to be. ALso I would have slept better w/him vs with my mom and god mother.....If tradition is important then do the seperatation, but if not then be together...trust me it helps a lot

same exact thing I would do!!! I could've used that extra hour!! and in hindsight, as much as I loved my RH......if I had to do it over, I would've wished for a bigger dance floor, there was so many people dancing all night, I felt claustrophobic.....but on the flip side, if no one would've been dancing that would've s*cked, so I guess things can always be worse! all you can do is try to hire vendors you have faith in, so hopefully you don't have problems on the day of!

I would change the limo company--they were a disaster. If you have a gut feeling: GO WITH IT! You can look up the name of my limo company--oh i cant wait to write my review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone uses my limo company in the future --they are playing russian roulette.

Re: Would you do anything different?
The number 1 thing I would do differently is not stress over every little detail and freak out when things weren't done so far in advance. I was so worried I would run out of time and be doing stuff last minute, but in actuality, I had plenty of time.
There are a few vendors I wouldn't have picked, not because of the quality of their work, but because they had attitude problems or bad service. But you can't really predict that. Please keep in mind when visiting vendors, they're going to tell you everything you want to hear because they're trying to get your business. Once you've paid up, it's a different story. So my advice is try to get recommendations from brides on here who've already had their wedding and received everything afterwards...there are so many brides who just booked them but have yet to see their work in action.

Re: Would you do anything different?
I would have been more affirmative with WHAT I WANTED with my seamstress...i wasn't happy with my alterations and i played stupid during my fittings....not a smart move. Also I would have made sure that I spoke to the priest who took over our wedding in greater detail so some of the mistakes made during the mass wouldn't have happened.

Re: Would you do anything different?
In an ideal world .... I would some how have avoided getting a herniated disc in my neck a month before the wedding. I was in a lot of pain during the time leading up to the wedding, on the wedding day, and on our honeymoon (and still ).
I would have used a different Tuxedo vendor ... they were SO not worth the extra added expense!
I would have gotten a 2nd photographer.
And my limo wouldn't have gotten stuck in the mud at OWG.

I would have sat my gay friends on the opposite side of the room. I didnt know my dad had a problem with gay people and two of my best friends stormed out of my wedding because of him leaving me in tears. Honestly, what I would have done different was elope.
