Would you do your own flowers?

I'm bummed about my florist and am going to cancel her, my cousin is doing all of her own flowers for her wedding and offered to help with mine.
I just dont know if we can pull it off, we're not professional florists

totally possible yes, but not easy

1. when will you pick the flowers up? where will you store them until the wedding?
2. how will you get the flowers to the RH?
3. who will set up the flowers?
4. how important are flowers to you in your vision of your wedding?

I would love to do my own flowers, but i'm a control freak and would be in my wedding dress trying to set up CPs so hence the florist.

All reasonable concerns, and yes I am a control freak too--my mother is completely against doing them ourselves...so I guess its a moot point

I am seriously considering doing my only flowers. The only one I'm not sure how to do is my bouquet and that's mostly just because it has a variety of flowers so it would be costly order the flowers because I can only find website that sell flowers in bulk. So i'm considering having the florist just do the boks. If you are seriously considering doing your own flowers let me know. I have a bunch of websites books for where to order flowers and how to make your own arrangements, boks, and bouts. Just FM if you would like them.

she just wants you to enjoy your wedding and not have any worries.....i mean as long as it isnt to complicated of a CP, you do a sample before, take lots of pics, and recruit 5 friends or cousins to set them up for you.....also how much money wil this really save you? is it enough to really make a difference in your eyes.....keep thinking about it......the simplest of CPs are sometimes the most beautiful!
