Would you feel wierd...

Okay, so this weekend two of my BMs from MD are coming to NY with me to try on dresses with the rest of the BMs. They are staying at my FIL's house. The original plan was to go try on dresses in the morning and then my FMIL was going to take all the girls out to lunch, which is very sweet of her. But since it is one of the BM's birthday Sunday (her neice) now she wants to take out the girls as well as a bunch of the family, so now it's a larger lunch. I don't mind at all. I like these family lunches. But I'm just wondering if my BMs will feel a little wierd being thrown into this social situation. One of my BMs especially really doesn't like social situations with a lot of people. Would you feel wierd, or would you just go with the flow? They've never met any of FH's family before.

I would just go with it-it actually sounds like fun and they are there to support you. I am sure that they will have a good time but mention it to them first. I also think that it would be a great chance for the family to get to know your friends and the people you love

It sounds like fun and if they are your BMs they are going to have to meet your FI's family anyway. It is better that it is a low key brunch IMO.

Yeah, I know I would enjoy it. But I'm fairly social. I'll just email them and see what they say.

i would just go with it. but then again i am a social butterfly.....i think this is also a time for your BM's to get over their social inhabitions and mingle w/ the family. they are the bridal party - and the day of your wedding will probably be a lot larger than this lunch. i would let your FMIL make it as big as she likes and make your BM's attend.

That's true. I bet this one BM will feel better getting to know the close family early on. And the family is so nice and friendly. They just make everyone feel welcome.
