A few months back I emailed the Dr. Phil show asking him if he could recommend anything in our area in reagrds to teaching us how to communicate better. I mentioned that our wedding was in May and we were hoping to find something before then.............
Right now we communticate good, but we wanted to have stronger communicating skills. And with our upcoming marriage, we though it would be a really good idea .....along with doing our Pre Cana.
So I get home tonight and there is an email from the Dr. Phil show. I started reading it thinking it was going to be a spam email, but NOPE! It wasn't !!!
Dr. Phil's associate producer emailed us asking if we would be interested in being on his show that they are getting ready to tape!
Would you do it?

I would!! I think its a good subject and I dont think its the type of show that spikes contraversy(sp?)

If you think it would work for you then do it! But be careful- it is live TV and you never know what is going to be said and how they are going to take what you say. They often twist words around! HTH

Yah, I know...... I was thinking of asking if we said 'NO' to the show, if he would still be able to help us find someone in our area...which is what I asked in the original email to him........wonder if that would work?

Its just a matter of how you feel sweetie.
Me personally, I don't air out the dirty laundry, on national tv no less.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love an opportunity to meet with Dr.PHil, but in the privacy of an office.
However, if it helps you, and you are ok with it being on national tv...I say go for it.
Why not? Its an opportunity, for free advice, from a well known man,and expert....and its not like jerry springer , ya know?

I would love to go on Dr. Phil....I think he has practical advice and is fair to both males and females. I would love to go on there and bring my psycho FMIL, Dr Phil would whip her a$$ into shape in no time!!!!

I totally would... he is a little weird haha but he gives good advice sometimes if you take off the sarcasim haha any help is good help!
i heart dr phil him and dr. keith ablow are on my tivo daily!

I would absolutely go for it!! Dr. Phil, while a TV personality, is also a well respected and world reknowned Psychologist. He's the expert that you or I would NEVER be able to afford to go to regularly... I think the other girls made some great points - he does give a lot of things away to his guests. I can almost guarantee you that he'd set you up with a counselor/psychologist in our area to follow through after the show. So, you'll get the best of both worlds! Best of luck in whatever you decide!
