would you have ceremony in CB outside with 59 F high?
Hi girls, would you have ceremony in CB around 6pm outside with 59 F high on the day of the wedding? I think , heaters can only help somewhat when there is no wind.
Should you warn guests?
Thanks

i wouldnt
its not worth it
yes i know the grounds are gorgeous but 57 imo is chilly
trust me when i tell you having the ceremony indoors is GORGEOUS!!!
plus later on during the evening you can sneak out and get some great night time shots

That's a little chilly, IMO. What season? Is this for your May wedding? At least the sun would be out so it'd be a little warmer. But that indoor space is really beautiful, too!

My BFF got married outside last year and it was around that temperature - it was quite chilly. It was a super-short ceremony (thank goodness), so everyone was only freezing their butts off for a short time. But I will still counting the minutes until they said I DO.
Roz's pics look beautiful so if you can pull off doing it inside, I would!

if it was daytime with the sun shining I may consider it...but at night that gets cold and uncomfortable. sorry
If you have your heart set on it then def give a warning to your guests.
But think about weddings you have been to and if you were in this situation wouldnt you always remember that part of the wedding? For example, i went to a wedding and the ceremony was outside and it was a windy, cool evening...that is what stands out every time i think of that wedding. I dont automatically think of the good time i had inside later on, or the good food...first thing is ALWAYS the cold & uncomfortable ceremony. Even though you may want it, is that what you want your guests to remember?

even though its 6 months away according to weather trackers the high for my wedding day is 68 degrees and low is 53 degrees and you know what i fully intend to have an outdoor cocktail hour at 8pm. im giving out pashminas with a little note at my shower to keep warm at the coktail hour, but other than that i except my guests to suck it up and keep their complaints about weather to themselves. the way i see it is that both ceremony and cocktail hour are usually only an hour long, i dont think anything above 50 degrees is unbearable and im only getting married once so im going to do what makes me and my groom happy. i've been to plenty of beach weddings where bugs were swarming around and biting my legs, and ive been to outdoor ceremonys where it was hot as hades and others where it was really freezing but i would never complain about it because its the couple's special day and the they picked this location and it being outdoors for a reason.

If you wanna have an outdoor wedding...go for it. If the bridal party is okay with it then why not. The guests can wear their jackets. Who cares what the guests wear anyway, its supposed to be all about you and your groom that day.
BTW, my hair stylist said that a client of hers had a wedding outdoors during the winter when there was one day that was warmer than normal and it worked out just fine.

i dont agree with this at all. i know it was mine and dhs day but to not think about our guest imo wouldve been rude. we invited our close family and friends to celebrate in our day not to be cold so we can get kool pics.
if her night turns out to be one of those warm nights then go for it

nope. that's too chilly... plus my nose & ears easily turn red when it's chilly - that'll be horrible in photos!

i see we're getting married around the same time of year.. i'm thinking about the same thing you are. the only difference is my ceremony is earlier, around 2. i think if the weather is about about 55 and not windy, i'll go for it... it's only a half hour anyway. but if i didn't have the sun i wouldn't be as sure. :\ outdoor cocktail hour, definitely not unless we get one of those freakish 80 degree days like we did this march.. fingers crossed!! regardless, definitely warn them, lots of people wouldn't think to bring a jacket on a day like that since they'd just think they were getting off at the front door and walking right inside.
i think the comfort of family and friends is very important at a wedding. i definitely don't want anyone counting the seconds until my ceremony ends so they can go inside and stop freezing... i want them to be able to focus on sharing this special day with me. but i guess others feel differently, haha.

Follow what you want and everyone will have a good time!!

test it out! Thats about our temperature now so sit yourself outside one day in a dress for about a half hour & see how it feels!
That might help! good luck

Personally I wouldn't. That's a little too cold. PLUS, if the high of the day is 57F, by 6PM it'll probably be colder. I would also worry about the older people in the cold. I know it's BEAUTIFUL at CB but I wouldn't be able to do that to my guests.

just decide the day before, without asking anyone, and blame it on the hall if anyone complains- if its windy and theres no tenting then that is going to make for some ugly pics
but if its just chilly, id say go ahead its only a half hour

I would not. That's too cold, especially if you have older guests. I know the wedidng is about you, but it's also about the comfort of your guests. I was at a wedding very recently where it was made very uncomfortable for guests and I have to tell you it took away from everything.

Yea I would not have it outside and the fact that it's at 6 is not worth it that way too cold

Its your day...do what you want. If you are having heaters then it won't be as bad as people are making it out to be. So unless it gets lower than that and windy and rainy then i would go for what you both want. Its just a 30 mins or less, if people love you they will stick it out.

Yes, its your wedding day and thats it. Fifty degrees is not that cold unless its raining and windy at the same time. And not rude....... i wouldnt even have heaters unless you think they will do anything, they are kind of hideous
