Would you invite a co-worker who may quit or get fired before the wedding?
This is a tough one for me. I intended to invite her, because she's my team mate. I'd live if she weren't at the wedding. But, I think it would be REALLY weird if she were there, sitting next to my boss and other co-worker if she didn't work for us anymore.
She hasn't been happy, and she hasn't been performing well. Yesterday, she got a written warning...
Edited to say: She mentioned more than once that she wants to come. But, if she doesn't work with me anymore, I think I would prefer that she not be there...

Could you seat her with other people?
Maybe she will decide not to come?
I don't know - I agree it would be very weird if she was sitting with her possible ex- boss and co-workers. But I think if she was fired she would not come to the wedding.

hmmmm...
when do you plan on sending out the invites? do you think circumstances may change by then? i would invite her if you two are still working together when the invites go out. if she is canned soon after, then it will be her decision not to attend your wedding if she feels uncomfortable...

i think it would be fine....
because if she quits, she left the company on good terms. is she gets fired, it was a business choice and she must of done something to get that
People must (should but don't) understand that. i'm sure they will all enjoy them selves and even if they didn't sit at the same table, they will bump into each other during the course of the day.
i say don't worry about it...
for me with co-workers, i'm only inviteing the ones that i kinda see outside the office and people that care about us(we work in same building)

i would invite her if you are that close to her. if the time comes and she leaves the place where you work, i would just sit her with other friends, and not your co-workers.

Is she your friend ? (not a mere work acquaintance?)........then there is your answer?
Friend...unconditional invite...if an acquaintance go for what make you feel comfortable..

But just b/c you leave a job does not mean you consider yourself an 'ex' -It's not like you're inviting an ex boyfriend - It may be uncomfortable for her to be seated w/ the boss, - But if she has a good relationship with your co-workers, why would she be uncomfortable ? - I think she might like an excuse to meet up with everyone. - If it would make YOU uncomfortable , don't invite her -

i don't think i would invite that co-worker, just b/c it can turn into a headache whether they quit, got fired, or left of the best terms. it's a hard situation, but unless you speak all the time out of work and are very friendly, i wouldn't.

Only invite her if you truly want her to be there. Let her decide if it would be too weird to go if she loses her job.

I'm in a similar situation and am holding off until it gets closer to send his invitation out b/c I really am only inviting him out of 'etiquette' workplace respect b/c the rest of my group is invited but he may leave/be fired before the wedding as well. Good luck
