I bought a pair of canvas, Keds-style sneakers today for under my dress. I'm planning on decorating them a little (painting on some flowers w/fabric paint in ivory and pale pink, and some small pearls and rhinestones) so that I can wear them at the reception when my feet get sore.
I am considering making a pair for my MOH, mom, and FMIL also (my aunt already requested a pair!) to match their respective outfits - I want them to be comfy too! I am still getting MOH another gift also, but I thought it might be nice to do this also.

ID RATHER HAVE THE SLIPPERS THAT LOOK LIKE BALLET ONES THEY COST JUST AS MUCH AND OLD NAVY HAS GREAT FLIP FLOPS FOR THE BP FOR LIKE 5 DOLLARS iF YOU LIKE THEM THEN GO FOR IT!

It's a great idea - my mom decorated sneakers like that for my sister to wear during her reception, and she's doing the same for me. She actually got the idea from the movie Father of the Bride. Also, my father used to work for Keds, so it works perfectly for us. I think everyone will love it!

I did it for my sister's wedding and she insists on getting them for me and the rest of the party. Said it was the best thing of that night - - her feet were killer her and I surprised her with them in the Bridal Suite about 1/2 way through the reception.
