I was thinking of doing something like the pic below - probably around the size of the second one. And I would put blue seaglass, sand, maybe some teeny seashells and a candle.
Would you like this as a favor? I personally love it, but I have weird tast () and I'm afraid people would think it was just another useless item.....
ETA - my theme color is blue and my theme is beach/seashells
i really like it since my bedroom is a beachy decor- however some people arent into that kind of thing and may not use it.
however me personally, id love it.
one more tip- the neutral colors like in the third one are the best and will match more homes than a color.

love it!!!! i am having the same theme so i am biased but they are gorgeous, where did you find them, i am looiing for something like that to decorate the gift and placecard table.

i like it in the neutral color and even though it wouldnt go with my home decor, it could be uised outdoors

It's very cute but I personally wouldn't use it. You know your guests though, if you think the majority would like it, go for it.
