so i was thinking of doing alcohol as a favor but instead of wine since everyone does that maybe something different like Vodka or Rum or maybe Malibu?
would you like that as a favor? which would you prefer? or should i scratch it entirely?

is there some type of alcohol that is connected to you of FH's ethnicity/background? For example, my DH is Irish. We were thinking of getting small Bailey's bottles and a shot glass as our favor.

that sounds like a great idea but like previously stated you need to be careful cause some guest might not drink or there might someone who went through A.A.

I choose malibu b/c its something not everyone might have in their liquor closet......most people have a bottle of vodka and rum, so the malibu is a nice alternative.....maybe you could even add on a little card with a specialty drink recipe? you could even have that special drink served at the wedding????

Or if you don't want to do a bag I would put a selection out. if 10 people per table 2 of each type with one bottle as a favor each and alternate it around..
I would also caution, as some all ready have, be weary of any one who may not be able to have alcohol.. mostly AA people. When I couldn't have alcohol due to a medical condition I still wouldn't have minded getting some as a favor...

i know a lot of people do wine but i feel thats so common and its still alcohol whether its wine or vodka ya know what i mean. people were mentioning that some people dont drink that stuff but that goes for wine too since i dont drink wine.
and if people dont drink it i feel like they can either use it at a party or give it as a gift and someone will use it as oppose to getting a cheap trinket that sits in a drawer never to be used. ugh favors are annoying! i want something edible/drinkable so i know it will be used

I like the idea of the mini bottles, or rum or malibu...those are very standard liquors.
And, worst case scenario, the person doesn't drink rum, so what. You just saved them the expense of having to get their boss a Christmas present.
