no. Just a personal preference. Don't get me wrong I want a pretty looking cake but they can charge big $$$$ for some and I am not willing to slurge on something most epople don't even eat.

I really don't want to pay extra, I see no reason to. However, I found a really gorgeous picture of a cake online that I want, and I thought it would be something they could do without an upgrade as it's just buttercream frosting with a variation on the usual swirls of colored icing (words instead of random swirly shapes) so it seems ridiculous for them to charge me extra... however I asked them when I was at the Lands End showcase a few weeks ago if it would be an upgrade and they said yes!
I foresee a few arguments on this one - I love this cake and I want to have it, and I think it's absolute robbery to charge me extra just because the shapes of the swirls are letters instead of curly things! I don't know for sure though, it was just a rep at an expo so he may not really know and just have told me that so that when I go in there officially I can't say 'well, but I was told that it wouldn't be an upgrade!' if it turns out to be.

i am hoping I don't have to. The hall told me to bring in the picture of the cake I wanted and they would let me know if they could do it or if they would have to charge me extra. If it is extra I would consider paying like $50 or something close to that, but anything much higher and I would probably just go with one of their cakes.
