Would you rather get a favor that is...

edible, or would you rather get something that you can keep forever? (not sure if this post has been done before...sorry if it has!)

For years, I felt obligated to keep the favors from my friends' weddings and they just created mis-matched clutter.

I like favors that are useful - like ice cream scoops or bottle openers or even simple candles. In general I'm not a big knick-knack person either but I always love stuff for the kitchen! I think I would rather get one of those than an edible favor, although I do love chocolate

If its a night wedding, I like the idea of a bag w/bagel, cream cheese, etc... JMO And there's always the option of a charitable donation

Edible! We are doing bottles of champagne or wine! I always wind up throwing out the other stuff because I hate clutter!

That is so funny! Because I'd rather get a favor that I can keep as a souvenir. I like little knick knacks. Both FH;s and my desk at home have all little toys and things lining the top.

I agree. FH and I have now made a rule that after 3 months of shelf life, the knick knack goes in the garbage. I prefer edible or something useful.

Its hard because although I want to give something that lasts forever finding 100+ people who have the same opinions on what constitutes forever is really quite difficult. Honestly, I think you could go either way and people will be happy.

So, speaking of edible favors...what do you guys think of this? Its a cookie mix. Since I'm getting married close to summer, I thought it might be cute. But is it 'wedding' enough?
