if FH's parents were not paying for it....then we would consider it...I think its a great idea for maybe couples who have been living together forawhile....otherwise....I would just pay out of pocket for the honeymoon!!!

I don't think it's a bad idea, we're not doing it. We don't really need house stuff (we live in an apartment together already) but it's an interesting idea.

Just personal choice...

Some people in our family have made comments about doing it... but again, whatever a couple wants to do for their wedding is ultimately their choice...

We are not registering for our honeymoon, but our travel agent (American Express Travel) allows us to register for excursions. We're thinking about it, but not sure yet.

I think its a great idea especially for us, this is my second wedding, we live together and have all the 'stuff' on the regisrty. It seems we are just replacing my old stuff, which is fine. I would not do it if it were not for these reasons. Sometimes you don't need all the house things.

Me too. Even though we live together already, we think the HM thing is a little odd.

no. i would feel weird about it, yet i have no problem 'buying' things for other people off their HM registry.. go figure!

we have been thinking about it. we had a rather large e-party and a lot of our registry items were purchased so we were thinking about setting one up. Since we're both starting off and have some stuff to pay for (DJ, photographer, invitations and HM) we thought it may be a good idea.

i agree it would be cool, but I think I would rather receive gifts for my home then the honeymoon

We had a hm registry in addition to our regular registry. DH and I lived together before the wedding so we had a lot of stuff. It was done through our travel agent. We received a lot of $$ towards the HM and those who purchased gifts from it commented on what a great gift idea it is.

We are also considering doing this for HM excursions since our HM is being given to us by FMIL. You can set your own prices for what you need and there is a call in number for those who do not have internet access. It seems to be very easy. We decided to do this since we already live together to save money for the wedding and our house.

I would not do a HM registry because we need everything for the house. My brother and his wife did, because they need no house stuff, and it was great for them.

I think it's a good idea especially if you don't need alot of house stuff.

It depends on the couple. My FH and I have both lived on our own for over 10 years and I own a home. There is seriously like 2 things I could register for. The honeymoon registry is perfect for us because then we go travel to someplace we could not afford without it.
