I just found out that the formal china pattern we chose was discontinued. We did not get too many pieces so far. I called the store where we are registered and they said we could return what we have. DH wants to look at the other patterns before we decide. But, if we keep it, we basically have to buy all the other pieces now because soon we won't be able to find them. What would you do - keep it and buy all we can or return it and choose another pattern?

i'd see if there is anything else out there that you like - if you can't find anything that you love as much as your current pattern, buy whatever you can.

coming from experience...go choose another pattern...our everyday pattern was only a test pattern and I never knew till it was too late and now I don't have a complete set

JMO but I would return it. In the future I you break a piece or would like extra place setting, even though it can be done, getting them can a very difficult process.
