Ok so I am looking through some photos that other people took from the wedding and it looks like MIL dragged the photographers away form taking pictures of the wedding to take a shot session of her solo and her and FIL
I am actually a little miffed about this
Would you say anything to the photogs? I just feel like I paid them and here they are not shooting the wedding, but shooting a freaking modeling session of MIL outside

ugh, i say because it's MIL, i'd let it slide. if i knew like someone 'less important' was doing that, then I'd say say something to the photog

I would be annoyed since photo was huge for me but I'd wait until I get professional proofs back...your wedding and afterparty sounds like it was a lot of fun and I'm sure she was just in the partying mood.
Unless you two don't have a great relationship, I don't think she was intentionally being rude or annoying...not worth bringing it up IMO. She won't have the chance to do it again, KWIM?

wow i cant believe MIL! unfortunately i dont think you can blame your photographers. they were asked to take some pics by the parents of the groom so they said yes. its more MIL to be blamed. If there are pictures that you specifically feel are missing because of this (cake cutting, first dance, etc) then you can def say something. but if not i think you have to let it go....

Well she was tying to be center of attention the whole day.....the picture of our families together, she wouldnt listen to the photogs and literally is pulling DH away from me to put her arm around him

Oh I would definitely be pissed bc pictures are a BIG thing to me! I think I would wait to see all your proofs first, if you feel like they missed some key photos then maybe say something to them about it.

No, I wouldn't. And I certainly wouldn't be annoyed at the photogs- I'd be annoyed at the ILs. Part of a photogs job is to know the 'VIP people', including the MOB/FOB, MOG/FOG, grandparents, bridal party, etc. They were just doing as they were told by the VIP people.

I'm more upset that they did not give my parents the same treatment, if the ILs pulled them away, they should have given the same shots to my parents

Exactly what Ashley said! Were paying more than what FH would like, thats besides the point. I would be pissed if my MIL did that. Definitely wait until you see your proofs and if it turns out your MIL took over your important photos, then definitely say something!

Sounds like my mother in law! Just be glad all the wedding drama is over and you can have her fade into the background, only to be seen on holidays!
If you feel like the photogs missed anything, then express disappointment to them, but not immediately because you still have to work with them to get your prints and albums.
