Would you still tip if....

you were paying 9000 for the band?

I am not sure who to tip. Not sure if we want to tip the band. We have a band we are paying for because its part of restaurant package but not using them. We hired a band I picked and they are 9K. Should we still tip them?

Also how much are you tipping a photographer/videographer. The one we hired is a family business(father working with his 2 sons and 1 more person).

For restaurant we are paying 15% service charge as stated in the contract. Is it enough?

Well, because I'm a musician, I would probably tip the guys since they're probably not seeing much of that $$$ you're paying to hire them.

How much would you tip? There are 6 people not including 2 main guys.

Well, because I'm a musician, I would probably tip the guys since they're probably not seeing much of that $$$ you're paying to hire them.

ITA. My father is a musician as well, and he is frequently hired by a DJ/Band company for weddings and corporate gigs...regardless of the price tag, he gets a very, VERY small check for his services, so I'm sure a tip would be appreciated.

I agree that you should tip but i don't think you have to tip 20% bit ITA that you should tip. . our band was up there but not quite as much and we tipped about 50 a band member which did not equal 20% but still seemed a decent tip. .
reading etiquette on tipping sad at some point no tip should exceed a certain amount pp so for the bigger amounts you could just stop at a certain number. . so even if you went to 100 PP that would be well under 20% but seems generous

15% of $9000 is a lot...I wouldn't tip too much on top of that!

Yee its crazy it comes out to $1350. I will probably tip $20-25 per person.

I heard $25 a bandmember, but thats an awful large price so I don't know.
