I am not sure who to tip. FH doesn't want to tip the band. We have a band we are paying for because its part of restaurant package but not using them. We hired a band I picked and they are 9K. Should we still tip them?
Also how much are you tipping a photographer/videographer. The one we hired is a family business(father working with his 2 sons and 1 more person).
For restaurant we are paying 15% service charge as stated in the contract. Is it enough? TIA.

Re: Would you still tip if....
Personally I think you should still tip, regardless of the price. You are choosing to spend that amount, that's a personal choice. We're spending around $7K on our band, and we will still be tipping them. But we're not using a more expensive band because that was our choice.

IMO you still should tip.. I have an expensive DJ and I will still tip I picked them and I’m ok with the price so I would not hold a tip against them.

You should still tip... its not the cost that determines whether you should tip or not... its the service...

definitely tip -no matter what the price. as for the RH that service charge sounds pretty good- mines like 20 something%. dont forget the maitre d- he's not included in that service charge.

JMO, I would definitely tip them. I don't think it matters how much you're paying for them. I know it blows!!!!!

I have a band, intend to tip. Have no clue how much. I posted on this a few weeks ago, and a couple people suggested $25 per band member, but I have no clue.

No problem. And honestly, I have no idea yet what we're tipping them. I just know that we will be.
