Would you take $6k to be away from FH for 6 weeks? UPDATED

if someone offered you $6k to spend 6 weeks away from your FH would you do it? What if you couldn't see eachother on weekends? Would that change your answer? Would you do it for 12 weeks? More?

If the 6 weeks were right before I got married, no way! Otherwise, I probably would.

I couldnt do it !! and with what you will lose in taxes and air fare to visit each other it wont be any where near as large a sum of money ....

I would do 6 weeks maybe not 12 though. I only see FH on Saturdays (after 3) and Sundays. So, I would sacrifice for the $$

I dont think it is worth it, 6k for 6 weeks after taxes is around 4300 dollars

I wouldn't do it only because the $6k wouldn't be bringing us any additional funds. If the $6k was after taxes and all the other expenses I'd do it.

I could definitely do it if Fh said go for it. I mean he probably would too because he would love $6000 more to add to house and wedding fund money.

but then again I am going on my 6 month without FH and have been doing this for 4 years already so I am used to it unfortunately...

But hey would someone give me about $6000 for not being with Fh for 10 months. After he comes home for xmas he is going to Iraq and I wont see him for 10 months it would def make it alot easier if I had the money to console me

oh yeah if it was without taxes taken out it would prob be more beneficial because like Nicole said it is only around 4300...and then flights if you want to see eachother...that wouldnt be worht it to me

but i could def do it because i have done it for free!

I would do it for the money....maybe b/c we are paying for our own wedding/hm and to me it would be worht the money. What is 6 weeks when you have the rest of your life?

UPDATE: I decided to split my summer between the 2 jobs. (not just for the money, but it doesn't hurt). The second job is in NYC, which gives us the option to move back to NY (for a job that pays $40k+ more per year) after law school instead of committing myself to staying here. I guess I'll drag out the decision one more year...
