would you trust. .

Your FH to do the wedding invitations. Mine wants to do the WHOLE thing. . designing, printing, mailing (and not from a kit) and it makes me sooo nervous. I keep asking him if he knows how much work it is and he says yes and it will save us money. . still. . though he did say he was researching and wanted to use 'vellum' somewhere which made me cause I don't even know what that is. .. so cute

At least yours seems to know what he's talking about, so I'd probably trust him. Mine, on the other hand - if he said he wanted to make the invitations... Oi!

is he a graphic artist or artistic? I cant imagine my DH wanting to DIY our invites.... it was hard enough to get him to look at options and I was happy in the end that he appreciated the linen paper and said the ribbon was 'really pretty' (after I ordered them and they came in)

Let him make a mock-up and if you are both on the same page, why not?

I'd fully trust my FH to do them... I'm more simple he's more elaborate when it comes to invitations.

That is one thing we totally disagree on - but I still don't foresee it being a fight.

He'd put together something very lovely - I have faith in him. He designed out STD in photoshop omg so much cuter than anything we could have ordered out of samples.

I can't wait for them to come in!!!

My FH is extremely artistic so I would trust that he would do a good job.. However he tends to slack a LOT so I would be nervous he would never get them done on time!

i say let him..he prob has something imagined up and it could turn out great but i know if it was me is prob try to sneak and see how it was going

Oh I will def look and am actually QUITE happy he is doing it, b/c as you all say one less headache and I really don't want to do it. He did our STDs and they came out nice and all i did was nudge on colors, font and stuff. .

I say trust him! BEst part, if you don't like him, you can spread the word that took care of the whooolllle thing !

I left the rehearsal dinner up to FH and I have been blow away but how great it is turning out.

I can't help but think about an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond when Amy made Robert responsible for the invitations and Ray told him to screw them up on purpose so Amy could just do everything and Robert would be off the hook. It went something like this:

But to answer your question, give your FH a chance and have him show you a proof before making them official.

That's so sweet, we are doing our own, and FH is surprisingly into too, but not as much as yours! Take advantage of it!

I trusted my FH. Although we picked out the design, he did everything else. The wording, the colors, the ordering. It was one less thing for me to have to worry about.
