I am taking my TTD pics (with Amanda PIcone - woot woot) the weekend of Halloween...
If we do it ON Halloween FH and I were thinking that we could go down to Greenwich Village afterwards the for the Halloween parade.... I've never been and we've always wanted to go and my dress isn't HUGE but will it seriously get destroyed if I wear it to the parade?

I don't know about the dress getting destroyed but those could be SUCH cool pictures, PLEASE do this! I'm absolutely head over heels with this idea!! You could get masks yourself and stuff and wow, so much you can do!

I LOVE the idea...that being said, I think you'd have to come to terms with the idea of your dress being pretty messed up afterwards...drunk, rowdy strangers will probably step on it or spill things on it.
TOTALLY worth it though!!!

if you are going to the parade. plan to get their EARLYYYYYYYY
i went for the first time last year. got there maybe 5 min b4 it started, and we could only make it down 1/2 a block (which took like 40 minutes) before i gave up
unless you got a 'spot' early, you will be trapped. and yes, your dress will probably get ruined

yeah gina, i agree with the other girls. I think it is risky if you want to salvage your dress. Theres a ton of drunks running around that could spill on you or step all over your dress and there will probably be a lot of crap on the street (silly string, etc.) It will probably get really dirty.

I've gone to the parade just about every year and your dress will not get get ruined. I've rarely had anything spilt on me. And if you go to the end of the parade route you can let yourself in the parade and start to walk in the parade which would make for great pics

awesome idea.. If your worried about your own dress gettin messed up get a short white wedding dress like a cheap one and use that so who cares if it gets dirty!!!! sounds fun!!

I think the pics would be sick. However, I couldn't live with myself if my dress got that destroyed. I say go to Davids buy another one for $99 for the TTD.

I may not be the right person to answer this, but I know the one and only time I've gone to the village on Halloween (like 15 years ago) it was PACKED and I could barely move.
