Would you want this as a BM gift?

Would you want this as a BM gift?

This is one of the things I was thinking about getting for my BMs. They're monogrammed scented candles from Archipelago Botanicals. What do you think -- yes or no? They're $25 and burn for 60 hours.

ETA: I put this later on the post, but in case other people are like me and only respond to the first post : The candles are a little over 5' high. Also, since I only have 3 BMs, they're getting a pearl necklace & earrings in addition to 'individual' gifts (gifts that I've picked out for the specially) -- if that influences your decision about the candles

I think it's a very cute idea, but personally I would get them something that they can keep forever. Maybe jewelry or something of that sort. I'm sorry, I hope I didn't offend you. I really do like the candles, I think they are very cute!!!

I like them! It all depends on what you know your girls would like also. Most people do like candles, but some people don't use them. If its someone who has tons and doesn't use them, then i wouldn't do it.

Oh my goodness--I'm not offended at all! I really do want honest opinions on this!

I definitely like the giving them something they can keep forever thing though -- I'm getting them pearl necklaces and earrings as well (they weren't too expensive at Exclusively Weddings!). I'm getting them each an individual thing as well but I saw these candles and was like 'Hmm...' I only have 3 BMs so I might go a little too crazy on the gifts

in addition to the jewelry, i think that is an AWESOME gesture. I love those candles, have you smelled them? They are really high quality and i would love to trewat myself to one one day!

Go for it Jennie (plus, they are chic and cute!)

They are very nice, but $25 for a candle is a little steep, Paula at You're Invited to Celebrate has these great candle with pressed flower, leaves or pearls, and you can personalize them and they say things like'thank you for being my BM' with their names. They are definitely less than $25 each and they come in a variety of sizes.

Have you seen them in person? I just can't tell how big they are. I read the scent descriptions online and they all sound really great! Just wish I could pick the color of the boxes they come in!

Jennie -

They are pretty big, definitly a larger sized candle. I am horrible with sizes, but I will say they are significant, and I have picked them up before and pondered them as a gift - so they do come across as sizeable.

The scents are AMAZING! It would be cool if you could pick the color...

Where are you ordering them from?

Bunny, thanks for the info! I did a search on Google for 'Archipelago Botanicals' and they had a few sites selling them. If I get them, I'll probably buy them from Spashoppe.com unless I can find them cheaper somewhere else!

ETA: I found the measurements and they're a pretty good size: 3 3/4' diameter x 5 1/4' high.

they are cute but $25 for a candle is a bit high- id rather have a Philosophy body wash, pedicure, a cool pair of earrings, a good self tanner, a package of 3 travel candles...etc.

check out sephora for ideas under $25
sephora gifts for her under $25

they are cute, but no I wouldn't want it as a gift. Its a dust collector and kinda expensive!

If you are giving them something else, then I think it's a nice addition, but $25 is a bit steep.

If your girls like candles I think that it's a cute idea. Personally, I'm not that fond of candles, and I seem to get them as gifts for everything! You might want to find different gifts to match each of your girls (thats what I'm doing).

Maybe I'll get one for myself first...just to see how I like it It's my *duty* as a bride to do this kind of research, right?
