no 13 cats.
nobody will take 13 cats.
you risk being homeless with all those cats

Wow. That's nasty of them. It's gonna be tricky but you can do it. FH had 2 rabbits and no one would rent to him. We ended up in a complex that allows pets. Technically you are allowed 2 cats, but they never come in and check for pets. Have you looked at apartment complexes?

i help my dad rent out a few apts... and we dont take pets...from a landlord's point of view its just real hard to clean/repair once the tenant leaves..

ugh iknow, we had the perfect situation set up before, and then it just fell through. i can't even believe it.

oh wow i work in real estate and let me tell you people don't even want 1 cat ! they get very picky no pets and children! that's crazy.

If I were you... I'd really focus on trying to get another arrangement by word of mouth. Someone who knows someone you know, etc.
That way, its not just 'Oh she has THIRTEEN CATS'
It's more like 'Well you know, they have some cats but they're EXTREMELY responsible about keeping everything clean and etc'
Because I mean, if it was me renting an apt and a complete stranger came at me with 'Hey I have 13 cats' I wouldn't RESPOND to you like that person did but on the other side of the phone or computer I'd be like 'FH, listen to this... this girl has THIRTEEN CATS' and he'd be like '***, No way. We can find someone who DOESN'T have 13 cats'
