Wow

I am offically under 300 days untill I marry my best friend. Time sure is flying!!! I hope this month I can narrow down flowers, limos, and invites. So little time so much to do!!

What do you 2012 ladies suggest I tackle down first with my wedding now under 300 days?

Wow

I focused on booking our florist and limos. Started looking at styles of invitations that I liked.
Congrats on the milestone!

Wow

I would say hotel block, florist, dj and photographer. I would concentrate on the things that could 'book' up

Flowers (my recommendation Michelle @ Hidden essence), Hotel block (if you haven't done it already), invitations, hair / make-up, Officiant, limo , favors (start looking for ideas).

Wow

Thanks girls. I already have the Venue, Church, photo, video, DJ and my Dress.

You girls think I should focus on the Hotel Block And Flowers? Then switch interests to Limo and Invitations?

Thank you all so much for the great advice!

Wow

I booked michelle @ hidden essence a year out because most florists only take 1 or maybe 2 jobs for the same day. The hotels only give you so many rooms in a block, and they are very difficult to deal with. Start working on that soon. they release all un-booked rooms 30 days before your wedding day back into their system. make sure you add extra rooms for your family and BP that want rooms. MY family & BP took most of the rooms and there was only 3 rooms left for guests and I was informed that the hotel was totally booked and they could not add any additional rooms to my block.

it depends

we didnt have to put any deposit and we are not responsible for any rooms not booked.

some have a deposit or hold you responsible for making sure 60-80% get booked.

we did not have to pay any deposit or pay for any rooms not booked (not that there were any!) Just make sure that your contract reads that way. Neg. a better deal for your room. I had the predidential suite for the night before and the night of our wedding. The room was 495 per night and I got it for 295. Also I had my parents upgraded to a mini suite from a standard room for the same room block price.

BTW - don't forget to book your florist soon also - they will book up.
