My parents invited FH parents over for dinner next weekend, which we've been planning since before Christmas, because we made it a mini tradition 2 years ago when they first met that we would go out to dinner/have dinner together for our Christmas gifts...which I think is cute and great since they get along SO well.
My sister texted me telling me she is coming home this weekend with her FH and to make sure I was home. I said great! we can get your MOH dress and James' parents are coming over for dinner that weekend so I will def be around
She goes
Yeah, Allan's parents are coming too.
WHAT?!?!?!?!!?
1. My mother did not tell me this once again 2. This dinner is supppppppossssssed to be for MY FH parents and MY parents, go find your own time to have dinner with HIS parents. geezus. 3. If they don't want to upset me so much, then do not have them over, please. Have my FH parents Saturday, then his Sunday at least.
I am so upset......

:( Sorry you are going through this...
Is the only reason you are upset is because she's going through with this wedding fast and you're annoyed with that. I personally think it's great that your parents are trying to make it one big happy family.
I don't know the entire story behind it but I don't think it is that wrong for your parents to have all the soon-to-bes over

I'm upset becuase the guy she is marrrying is controlling, obsesssive and I just wish she would wake up. They just aren't thinking this whole marraige thing through. They are rushing into something they just think is fun. They don't understand the real meaning, and it really just upsets me. Im very happy for them that they are happy together, but I really think it is going to blow up in their face one day and I don't want to see my sister get hurt..

You are right to be concerned ab out your sister but there isn't much you can do unfortunately. She is an adult and these are her decisions. Your parents are also hoping for the best and don't want to alienate. Just gotta pray about it and hope that everything turns out for the better.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
It's an emotional tug-of-war unfortunately. This is just part of being in any family that is somewhat close – you’re definitely not alone. My sister and I are only 16 months apart and though she’s not engaged yet (it’s coming any day, I’m sure of it), she’s in a 7 year long relationship as well. i've had issues with my sister like this before, and though she's not getting married in the weeks surrounding my wedding, she is in a very serious relationship and there have been times where I’ve had to “share” with her because her BF’s parents were coming over and so were my FH’s parents, etc. Trust me, we’ve had countless arguments about why my FH’s parents were invited but her BF’s parents weren’t, etc. My parents have always tried to be fair because at the end of the day, our significant others are both very important to us and we should be given an equal opportunity.
In some ways, your situation with this issue may actually be better – you both are getting married – all three families will inevitably have to meet / get to know / tolerate each other. Why not do it over some good food, booze and belated Christmas gifts? I know this isn’t the answer you wanted to hear, but I just wanted you to know that you’re not alone.
And plus, give your parents some slack – they’re dealing with a lot now – both daughters are getting married in the same year, they have two sets of in-laws to “please,” etc. A lot of “growing pains” are happening. Financially, it makes sense for your parents to “kill two birds with one stone” and have them both over at the same time - having people over for dinner, even when you’re cooking, is not cheap.

Well even though I would be extremly pissed and flying off the handles you need to relax. Seems like your sisters is trying to get your parents close like they are to FH's. Whether she is doing this intentionally to piss you off or not is something you need to figure out. Sometimes we take things the wrong way.
