WOW!!! What did I walk into... Is there a full moon?

I come back on after eating dinner to ask if anyone knew anything about pink eye and there are fake names, and lots of hostility Guess I got some posts to look at to find out what's going on tonight..


So does anyone know anything about pink eye???

I just had it last week!! It is highly contagious and depending what type it is, viral or bacterial, you may need to go to the doc to get a prescription!! Throw out all make-up and wash you pillowcases. Also try not to itch it and be prepared to wake up in the morning with your eyes crusted shut!! I had it in one eye and then it spread to the other. DH said I looked really really stoned last week!!

don't rub or touch it cause it can spread easily (that's about the extent of my expertise on the subject!)

I thought it was the weirdness of halloween but i guess not! Weirdness continues

Well I don't know for sure if I actually have it but today around noon my eyes turned bloodshot, not just one but both. I thought ok maybe my contacts took them out, still bloodshot, put drops, no change, took allergy pill, no change. I tried to make an appt today but they wouldn't see me. I hope tomorrow. Any other home remedies for this?

warm washcloth over your eyes. are they swollen and crusty(sorry if that is tmi)

Yea they are a little swollen and I keep picking the sleepies out of my eye...again maybe TMI...sorry

no, don't worry - i pickk the eye boogies out of my fh's eyes. i'm no md, but i really don't think its pink eye - i had it years ago and i think your eyes get really swollen and crusty. do you wear disposable contacts? could be time for new ones...

Nope not disposeable contacts, I wear the daily wear, torics. I will take all precautions just in case it is, and see if I wake up looking like a beat up boxer in the morning.

When I had pink eye last week, my eyes were pussing like a yellowish/cream colored puss. Sorry, I know it sounds nasty. If they are itching or hurting, definitely wet a wash cloth with warm water. It really helped a lot.
They also sell some new stuff at the pharmacy for pink eye, but it is only for the bacterial pink eye. If its viral you need a prescription!! Feel Better!!
If you wake up in the morning with crust keeping your eyes closed, then it is probably pink eye!!
