WR Anxiety

WR Anxiety

Just having one of those days where I want everything to be done and over with. Stressed out about the budget, which then causes me anxiety over the whole event and getting married in general.

Sigh. Tell me some of you go through this too?

Trust me when I say you are not alone!!!! I was like that all of last week. FH is so happy that I am my old self again. Poor guy, lilttle does he know I am sure next week I will be stressed out again. Lol

Agree with all this. The budget is the only thing that actually makes me not excited and just want to run off and elope! It ends up getting brought up in every conversation that FH and I have and it ruins all the fun in this! I can't wait to the budget anxiety to go away!

I am totally with you. So when we originally picked the place and set the date my job was secure even though I was a leave replacement. It was pretty guaranteed that they had a place for me for the following school year. Well by April I was told there is no place although they are trying. They recommended I start looking for other positions. Well that is when the stress set in. We booked an expensive location, still had vendors to book. I was a bit crazed. I just signed paperwork last week for a position in a new school district, but now I am stressing to get everything done before the school year, but do not want to lay out the money. I just want everything done so I can relax and enjoy the day (I wish I eloped)..... 6 more months

Agreed! I just started (put deposits down for DJ and photographer) and I'm already stressing out. I still have 21 months to go! lol

Because my parents are divorced and still figuring out how to split up the money to help us, we basically have them on a payment plan, which makes it REALLY difficult to book anything...I get anxious over finding a vendor and liking them, but maybe liking someone else more later. I also feel like this whole industry is SO expensive. I mean, if I told them it was a birthday party, I bet it would be like, 1/8 of the price...grr.

Unfortunatley it all comes down to business. We were able to cut down on costs just because we knew we wanted a small wedding and the time of year we are getting married has helped us a lot. Just take it one day at a time and it will all fall into place.

I wish this was true. My daughters sweet 16 is approx. 2k over our wedding(we are crazy yes) but we went very reasonable on this wedding in regards to cost . although sweet 16's are like a wedding these days.

I think we all get caught up in the anxiety of it, but I also think it's important to take a step back and think about what you're really doing. FH makes me do this when I'm getting super stressed, and then I find myself just enjoying the fact I'm marrying my best friend in front of all our friends and family and I can't wait for it. It's easy to get caught up in the stress of planning, but thinking about what the day means helps put it all in perspective!

YESSSSS!!!! We are paying for it all ourselves and every time we leave a vendor and hear prices I swear I need a vomit bucket near by haha It gets overwhelming and we just look at each other and say don't we wish we did the destination wedding like we originally wanted to do! I just want to have these ppl booked and not worry anymore lol

Amen and ditto to all comments. You are definitely not alone in your feelings.

Of course! And as we get closer and closer to the wedding, I've been walking around in like a dream like state. Borderline denial, haha

Yep, I've been saying that since day 1!! You could do a basic hairdo for $20 but if you tell them it's for a wedding, it's magically $80, lol.

Love this! I step back often to reflect otherwise I would be driving myself nuts.

Talk about budget anxiety, I was laid off about a month ago from my job and now it gives me more anxiety than before, hopefully things will turn around soon.
