Wrapping in clear plastic

For my cousin's bridal shower, everyone wrapped their gifts in clear plastic. She did not have the assembly line to open gifts. We just had a party and all the gifts sat out. She made it a point to go to each person and thank them.

What is your opinion on doing this? I liked it but feel that some people get insulted when you don't open all the gifts and hold everything up.

I wouldn't like that very much, I'm very traditional, I like watching the bride open her gifts so we can see what everyone got her. It's not the same when they're on 'display' like that. I'm glad she went around and thanked everyone tho, otherwise I'd be offended that I took the time to get a nice gift and then she didn't even open them at the shower. That's JMO tho.
