My best friend is getting married in September and I need to find a place to have her shower. She lives in Old-Bethpage. I never did this before, so please tell me what else I need besides the following:
Restaurant (suggestions?) Invitations Favors Games/Prizes Decorations Cake Wishing Well (where can I rent one?)
TIA

I know Boulder Creek in syosset has a private room.
You could also try La Pama in Huntington,

H.R. Singletons on Stewart Ave?
My shower was at Domineco's in Levittown on hempstead Tpke. I would highly recomend it.
They rented my wishing well from Linda's Lovelies.
They played Pocketbook Bingo they had other games but honestly had no time for them. I didn't even have time to open my wishing well. They used Scratch off's for prizes. Bought regular Invitations from the party store. Just did Balloons on the tables. Andthe Restaurant supplied the cake.
Good Luck.

The Milleridge Inn CARRIAGE HOUSE (not the Inn) is a fantastic place for a shower. You can go in early to decorate and the price is very reasonable for very good food and the cake is included. You can find invitations, favors, Wishing Well, the Umbrella, etc. at great prices at WrapWithUs in Syosset on Robbins Lane. They have a website also. The Bridal Bingo Game works really well with women of mixed ages. If you have only younger women, then I'm sure you can find really fun things to do. The hardest thing for us, and least successful, was making it a surprise. I came up with a good rouse to get her there but because we didn't have a good decoy for another day to hint at, she figured it out. You may want to really work out a plan if you want it to be a surprise. The girls and I had the most fun planning my daughter's shower. Good luck.
Here are some website I used for my sisters shower. The best game was Toilet Paper Bride, 2 dress makers and 1 bride. Another one was Pass the Teddy. Teddy bear in a box, when the music stops, who ever hold it has to go into the bathroom and put it on.

Thanks everyone. It probably won't be a surprise since her mom is coming here from Greece in July. She knows it will be shortly after that. I will try to make it a surprise though. Thanks again for the great ideas.

Re: Writing this as a MOH
I just helped plan a shower that was on Sunday. It was at her mom's house so I don't know of a good restaurant but we rented the wishing well from Party City & used Lotto Scratch offs as prizes. We asked her FH some questions about himself & their relationship in advance & in secret, typed them up, handed them out to the guests and as she opened your gift you asked her your question. If she got it right she got your Lotto ticket, if not then you kept it! Everyone had a good time with that!

How many people do you think?
I am from Bethpage ( not Old Bethpage, though, but I don' t live there anymore) I know ther is Peppercorn's or WIcker's in Hicksville, and as was mentioned, Domenico's in Levitown. There are also private rooms in the Milleridge Inn, but LIMom said they couldn't go in early & decorate.

You can rent a wishing well from Party City for I believe about $12. That is what they did for my shower and it was very beautiful.
As for places, I am not really sure, that would all depend on how much you wanted to spend. Mine was at a Chinese Buffet in Deer Park. The food was great at it was either $15 or $20 a person.
